BLUE OX: New Song Posted Online

August 29, 2009

BLUE OX — the Minneapolis, Minnesota-based band featuring former members of DEAD TO FALL, DEVILINSIDE and WITH DEAD HANDS RISING — has posted a new song, "Night Of The Technicolor Yawn", on the group's MySpace page.

According to a press release, BLUE OX "offers a straight-forward but dynamic approach to the metal and punk genres. Influenced by an array of genres spanning the last two decades, BLUE OX creates their own spin on metallic hardcore. Their first release, 'Wet Dreams and Nightmares' [2008], combines gloomy aspects of mid-'90s metalcore ala DISEMBODIED, with the sludgy heaviness of CROWBAR and DOWN. The result is a record that is in your face and unapologetic."

BLUE OX will hit the studio in the fall to record a new album for an early 2010 release.

BLUE OX is:

Dan Johnson (DEVILINSIDE, WITH DEAD HANDS RISING) - Drums
Mikey Van Heel (DEVILINSIDE) - Guitar
Josh Nelson (ENOLA GREY, DEVILINSIDE) - Bass
Tugboat Hanson (COMA ETERNAL) - Vocals
Logan Kelly (DEAD TO FALL) - Guitar
